Bouncing around.

We took Colin to Monkey Joes to play.  He had SOOOO much fun!  I just can't even describe the joy Garet and I had just watching him and his sweet smile!  He really liked sliding down the slide (backwards, on his belly!)  If you have never been - it is a bunch of big blow up toys... so the slide was a big blow up slide.  Oh it was so perfect seeing him having so much fun!

Garet and I had lunch with my best friend Marsha and her husband Skip.  Marsha and I have been best friends since kindergarten!  Yup, since we were 5 years old!  I love her!

Merry Christmas.

Wow what a great Christmas!!  We are truly blessed.  My whole family was here this year!  and everyone came to my parents house.  It was crazy, but so great!

Looking for Santa.

We had a busy Christmas Eve... we played with friends, and went to a Christmas Eve service at church (where Colin did AWESOME), then we got to open one gift from Grandmama and Papaw!

In the big city.

Garet, Papaw, and I took Colin on the Light Rail and went into downtown Charlotte to listen to some Christmas music.  He LOVED the train ride, and then LOVED dancing to the music!

We got back to Charlotte, and we got to see our cousins that live in Texas!  It's been about 4 years since I've seen them!

Out for a ride.

Garet and I had all day just the two of us =)  We went to Lake Waccamaw and rode our bikes around the lake, and had a picnic!  It was so nice!

Sweet sweatshirts.

We were able to get away for the weekend.... Colin and Suzi are at my parents, so Garet and I are enjoying our time alone for a couple days!  We got to go surprise my cousin Lindsay!  It is her 30th birthday on Christmas, so her husband planned a surprise birthday/tacky Christmas sweater party!  It was a lot of fun!

To: Daddy.

Colin wrapped one of his gifts to Garet.  He was so helpful.  He liked to ball up some tape (masking tape!), then he would stick it on the paper, and he ran around with some extra paper, which he wanted to stick on top (kind of like a bow...)
I think this is the most perfect gift wrap under the tree =)

Colin has figured out how to climb up on the couch.  As you can see, he LOVES peeking over into the kitchen!

Helping.

We were wrapping some gifts, and Colin and Suzi decided to help.  Colin ran around with some wrapping paper, then Suzi put her toy on top and laid on it.

Meeting Hunter.

My friend Laurie is in town (from Miami) so I got to meet her sweet little man!  Hard to believe a year ago this was what Colin looked like!

For snack, Colin got a whole apple!  And he ate the entire thing!

Making a masterpiece.

Colin got to draw today.  He lasted about a minute (maybe a couple seconds longer) then he took off running around the house with the crayons.  But he left me with the best drawing ever =)

What a boy.

So Colin is a little dare devil.  He likes to push his limits... he was doing standing up on his bike when I walked in from the kitchen.  So, what did I do?  Ran and got my camera... the whole way just praying he didn't fall on his head!

Morning snuggles.

Colin will snuggle right after he wakes up, or right after his naps.  It is so sweet to just sit with him!

New washer.

Yay!  New washer and dryer!  We had to watch to make sure everything was getting nice and clean =)

Dinner with Dad.

I went to the gym, so Garet made dinner and fed Colin... when I got home I found a few new pictures on the camera!  Looks like Dad's a good cook!

P.S. Garet - I notice there is no bib on the boy!  You're in charge of washing that shirt!

My little man.

Colin was on the verge of being over having his picture taken.  I just love his sweet face!  This was taken right before I left to go babysit my niece Morgan!  So fun!

Anyone keeping track?  We've gone at least 3 times in the past month!  I'm not complaining though - it is WONDERFUL being there!  And this time we got to hang out with Garet's mom and Rod!  Oh what fun!

Colin's nativity.

Colin and I got all of our Christmas decorations out.  Notice where the angel is supposed to be... Colin did this.  Guess he would rather see the sheep up there =)

Full disclosure: I placed baby Jesus back in the stable.  Is it crazy that I feel bad when I see Colin throwing baby Jesus across the room???

A little extra padding.

Can you see my sweet boy's poor little face?  His chin is all scraped, thanks to a run in with our brick fireplace.  So... we went out and got this protector.  Hopefully we won't have anymore accidents!

Being patient.

Suzi likes to sit as close as she can to Colin and me while we are having a snack.  Colin has gotten to where he likes to hand her his food.  Like today... he got a graham cracker, then handed it to her, she ate it, then he came back to me for more.  What a sneaky little team they are!

I love seeing Colin playing with his cars!  And you can even see his little face saying, "Brrrrrmmmm" =)  So stinkin' cute!!
