Blue Skies.

 

We made it!
We got away to one of our favorite places!  Garet's mom's house in Morehead City: Blue Skies.  Ahhhh, so nice to be here!

Whenever I have to jump up on the counter to get something off a shelf (which is often - don't know why they made these shelves so tall!) Colin will run over and hold my feet.  He holds them until I am on my way down =)  Sweet little boy!

New computer.

 

We had a great Christmas here at our house!  One of Colin's gifts from Grandma Kay was a computer!  (The car mouse was from Grandmama and Papaw)  He had fun playing around on PBS kids... Sid the Science Kid - with Daddy, of course!

"Baby Jes."

 

(Pronounced "Geez")  Tonight we did the last of the advent calendar... Baby Jesus is now in his manger =)  Colin absolutely loved doing this!  And it was nice because it gave us a time everyday to go over what Christmas is all about.  Merry Christmas Eve!

We had fun making our gingerbread house pretty!  Although I'm not sure how many gumdrops were actually put on the house versus eaten by a cute little redhead!

We celebrated Christmas tonight.  Before dinner, Colin got to draw with cousin Kathryn =)

Tractor with Pop.

 

Pop took Colin on a drive around in his tractor.  Colin had so much fun!  He was so funny... I told him he had to sit still (so he didn't fall out) and he didn't budge!  haha  He did wave at me but other than that, he didn't move =)  But he had this cute little grin the whole time... and when they stopped he kept saying, "more!!"

Since it wasn't snowing - skiing was out... but we did get to have fun in the indoor pool!  As you can see, Colin LOVED it!

Pop took us all around Wintergreen Resort!  There wasn't any snow, but boy was it cold!

We drove to Garet's dad's house in Wintergreen, Virginia today!  Lucky for Colin they were very prepared with tons of cars!  Colin was in heaven!

We had fun after dinner tonight!  Colin got every ball he has and started shooting hoops (he gave me a football to shoot).  Check out that form! =)

My parents went home today... and Suzi went and got a bath.  Now she is sleeping peacefully at my feet =)

My mom loaded a few childrens books onto her reader... this one is called "Tickle Bugs" and Colin LOVES it!  He like to help turn the pages too =)

Baby girl.

 

We were sooooo excited to go into our ultrasound today!  It was a great appointment: we found out we are having a baby GIRL, all the measurements are right on, all the organs are there and working, and the heartbeat was just music to our ears!  So, so blessed.

(oh and these are the cookies I made for my cookie exchange to announce to those friends that we are expecting a girl).

Going "fishing".

 

My parents came to visit!!  Colin put on Papaw's shoes, then put on his hat - which my dad told him was his "fishing hat" (it's a Bass Pro hat with a fish on it).  Colin kept saying he was going fishing and walking around the house!

Night night Daddy.

 

Garet had a late meeting tonight, so we sent him a good night picture.  I do this anytime G works late.  Tonight, Colin kept cracking himself up in the picture =)

Whenever Garet leaves, Colin runs over to the window to yell "Bye!" and then he will wait for Garet to beep his horn and flash his lights =)  He loves it!

This was Colin's first time playing with play dough.  I am not a huge fan, but it was a gift... and he loved it!  You can't see it that well, but he made a dinosaur.

Aunt Kailey sent Colin a video of Santa talking to Colin... it was really cute!  Colin was mesmerized =)

Mrs. Claus.

 

Colin and I ran errands today... first stop: Barnes and Noble.  On the way in I ran into a girl from the neighborhood... turns out Mrs. Claus was having story time today!  At 10 am.  We got there at 9:45!  Perfect timing!  So we hung out and listened to the story, which Colin didn't care too much about, but when it came to singing he was sooo into it!  He was one of the only kids (and there were tons!) that clapped throughout the entire thing =)  Too cute.  The rest of the day he kept singing "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells"!

The weather has been awesome!!!!!  Colin and I have been trying to hurry through errands so we can enjoy some outside time!  Today he asked for his sunglasses =) it was pretty bright outside!

We missed our friend Sawyer's birthday party because we were both getting over our colds, so today we went by to give him his present!  And he gave Colin a goody bag from the party.  Inside..... a car!  When we got home, Colin got to work lining all of them up.  He put this book up and then began "parking" all his cars.  He LOVES playing with them!

The weather has been so nice!  Colin and I had a great time taking advantage and playing outside!  Soon after this picture, I had to strip off the big coat!

This totally sums up Colin's excitment about Christmas this year!  Granted, the picture itself doesn't do it justice, but he was sooo excited to get a Christmas tree!  And on the way, he pointed out every Christmas light he saw =)
