Weeeeeeee.

 

The weather was perfect today!  Colin and I had a great time at MOPS this morning, then after nap, we went to the park with Garet and Suzi.  As you can tell, Colin had an awesome time!  Then we went out to dinner.

Peek-a-boo.

 

He cracks me up!  We were playing in his firetruck tent (thanks Eric, Kailey and Morgan!) and Colin kept poking his head out at me =)  I managed to snap this picture.

Drums.

 

Papaw taught Colin how to drum on his desk... I don't know which one of them had more fun!  There was some singing going on too!

A, B, C's.

 

We were stuck inside the beginning of the day due to the ice.  Our driveway was so slick (and is an incline) so we found things to do around the house.  Colin got out his letters and we sang the alphabet a few times.

Smoothie.

Today, Garet left to go skiiing and my parents came... and we had lots of ice.  So, when Colin got up from his nap, he helped me make a yummy smoothie!   As you can see in the picture, he likes to make sure the blueberries taste okay before adding them to the blender =)

Play date.

 

Colin's friend Abby was able to come by, with her mom =), for a play date today!  It was last minute, but so great!  They get along... as well as two 2 years old will get along!  We are all still learning to share and take turns.  It was so nice on such a COLD day to get some energy out inside.

That is a clown nose that he is showing me.  We went to the library today and were very surprised to see that the circus clowns were there to do a storytime!  So, we sat in on it!  And, although Colin looks less than impressed, he was very excited =)
You can see by his sweet little eyes that he is sick though.  They have that glossy look.

Bubbles.

 

Colin loves bubbles!  When he saw Garet pull them out, he kept saying, "Pop them!" and slapping his hands together! 
He has a bad cold... it's so sad.  So we spent today around the house.

Please, can I open them?

 

I went to Charlotte yesterday for one of my best friends baby showers!  Then came home today, but first stopped for lunch with another one of my BFF's =) and I didn't take a single picture!  But when I was in Charlotte, I picked up the Christmas presents from my family to Colin that he hadn't gotten yet.  So... almost a month later, we had another little Christmas party! 

January 19

Colin's neighborhood.

 

Colin and I made this to play with since it has been so rainy outside.  I wasn't sure if he would like it, but he LOVED it... it kept him occupied for over an hour, then he wanted to play with it more the next day (today).  I, obviously, got a little carried away... we had houses (Colin named them, "Mommy's house, Colin's house, neighbor's house"), playground with balls (Colin liked the basketball... which a car is on in the pic), a lake with a boat, fire truck, flowers, a farm, and some woods.

We got snow!  We also lost power...
But we had fun playing outside this morning!  Colin pulled his wagon all around, then helped daddy unload some firewood.  He always has his tongue sticking out =)

Today was another rainy day... so we headed to the Children's Museum to get some energy out!

Driving a "boat".

 

It has been so rainy and gross outside... so we met up with a friend and her son today!  We went to a place called Backyard Paradise - there was a lot of playground equipment set up, a basketball hoop, putt putt, and trampolines that were inside for the kids to play on!  Anytime Colin has a steering wheel to turn, it is almost always a "boat" =)

January 15

Taste test.

 

While I was cooking tonight Colin wanted to help... so I gave him a bowl and spoon then gave him a little bit of milk, water, small amount of sugar, and a bowl of raisins.  He had so much fun mixing and then pouring his mix back and forth in the different measuring cups.  Here he is giving it a taste test =)
And once I looked over and he was saying, "Come here you!"  He was talking to one of the raisins!

January 14

We had our home inspection this morning (it went well!) and it was so rainy and gross out that we were forced to stay indoors the rest of the day.   Lucky for us, Colin has cars to keep him entertained =)

We got to enjoy a picnic and some time at the park today - it was beautiful!  I am loving the warmer weather!

Colin got to hang out with Abby again today.  They are so cute together!

We met up with our friends at the Children's Museum today and had a blast!  This picture is funny to me because it shows the difference between boys and girls.... Abby was playing peacefully building the tower (on the right) and then Colin came and ran up onto the step and just started tossing all the blocks on the floor.  Then he knocked over her tower.

This morning Colin and I got to hear Addison's heartbeat!  Music to my ears =)  Then we headed to Barnes & Noble to play with the train!  He actually had it all to himself this morning!

Remember when I made these?? (Did I blog about that??  I can't find the post if I did... anyway, I made these magnetic, fabric letters for Colin.)  Well they are finally getting some good use!  Colin loves helping me put them on the fridge, then we sing our A, B, C's... then he wipes the fridge clean.... and repeat =)

Bubbles and yogurt.

 

We went out after dinner for some yogurt to celebrate signing on our new house!  This was a new yogurt place, and the back room was painted with BUBBLES!!!  Colin is obessed with bubbles right now and kept pointing at all of them asking daddy to pop them!  He was saying "Look Daddy!!  Pop them!!"  (so pardon the mouth full of food!)

We got Colin's mattress today.  He went with us and thought it was so neat that it was strapped to the top of our car!  Then when we got home, he watched Daddy unload it.  He kept saying, "Daddy's strong!"  =)

While I was making lunch, Colin was riding his "big bike" and said he needed a helmet.  So I told him to go grab his fireman helmet... so he did =)

We drove home today during Colin's naptime.  I gave him his "Jesus Book" and told him that it was time for a nap (we always read a story from this book before naptime), and when I turned back around this is what I saw =)  What a precious child!

We got home from downtown Beaufort and opened a bottle of bubbly!  (Welch's Sparkling grape juice =)  and no, Colin didn't get any... he was just fine with a bottle of water)

 At Fort Macon.

 

We drove to Fort Macon today!  It was so pretty, but COLD!  This was on the top of the fort (next to the cannons!) overlooking the beach!
