We had an overnight visitor!  And we took her to the playground with us - we loved having her here!  And I love how Colin says her name: "Ka-fren" =)

Colin and I have fun chatting with Addison.  I love that he talks to her... knowing that she can't talk back =)  It is really precious seeing how he interacts with her.  He gives her tons of hugs and kisses too!

We went out for yogurt after dinner tonight!  Colin got the blue yogurt - of course!  With lots of fruit =)

We went downtown today to watch some bike races and enjoy the festivities!  This picture was Colin with a mini cow bell yelling for the kids biking =)  We had lots of fun!

Addison loves to watch ceiling fans... Garet just installed a new one on our patio, so she had a great time smiling at it =)  She is also pretty good at finding her thumb, she almost had it here!

It was a perfect weather day!  After a couple errands I took the kids to the park... Addison slept almost the whole time we were there... Colin had a blast running around.  I love that when there are other kids there, he jumps right in and plays with them.  It was so adorable!

Garet worked all day, but we got to have fun with him once he got home for dinner!  Colin took a big bite of his cupcake and announced, "I have a mustache!"  So, Garet got a mustache too and I got this cute picture =) 
Happy Birthday Garet!!!  You are my best friend, my perfect groom, the best husband I could ever ask for!  And you are one amazing daddy!  We love you!!!!!

We celebrated part of Garet's birthday today (since he has to work all day on his birthday).  My parents came for the night so that we could go out and enjoy a movie!  Since our little lady isn't too fond of a bottle, all we had time for was a movie... then we grilled out and had birthday cupcakes back at the house.  Thanks mom for snapping this picture!  And watching the kiddos while we got a little time away!

Out of the blue today Colin asked to make a fort.  So, of course, we made a fort!  And we got really excited because instead of just 1 blanket, we used 3!!  He took all of his cars inside to line them up =)

During Colin's nap today, Addison and I had a little photo shoot.  Now, y'all know I am not a big big bow fan =) but my cousin gave Addison this sweet little skirt and hair bow, so I wanted to capture it before she grew out of it.  And I think she is pretty darn cute in it!  She also modeled some sweet little crochet booties that my Aunt gave her.  Precious!

I told Garet that he needed to feed Addison to try and get her more used to the bottle, Colin quickly jumped in and said, "I want to feed Addison!"  Then he got the boppy and made himself comfortable on the couch =)  What a great little helper we have!
On a side note: Addison does NOT like the bottle.  I have a few more different ones to try.  We shall see how this goes...

Another pool day.

 

Wow, it has been so hot!  We filled up Colin's boat again today.  I told him to put water on his head to cool him off... to my surprise, he did =)

We went outside to play in Colin's pool/boat today... when I look over at Addison, this is what I saw... it was SUPER hot!  She didn't last long before I took her back inside, even under the fan it was hot!

Addison had her 2 month appointment today (a week late...) and had to get shots =(  oh, that is so so so sad.  Colin was told that she would cry, so he gave her kisses and made her feel better.  He pointing to her band-aids and asking, "what's under that?"  I went to take a picture of Addison when we got home, and guess who wanted in the picture?  =)

We ran to The Home Depot this afternoon to look at outdoor ceiling fans, Colin was VERY excited to drive this truck.  Addison was in the cart Garet was pushing, and I have to brag.... Colin and my cart totally beat Garet and Addison's! =)

A lot of the time when I leave the room and peek back in, Colin has gone over to check on Addison.  Sometimes I will hear him chatting softly to her, or rubbing her mouth with her burp cloth, or swinging her in her swing.  Today he was talking to her.  I have no clue what he was saying, but she sure gave him some big smiles!

Today, Karen, Kathryn and Sam came by for a little bit! We had a lot of fun!  Then Garet went to Charlotte to see OAR in concert (probably his favorite band ever!)

Today we took advantage of the sun!  We had some pool time in the boat =)  I took this picture and was saying "don't splash me!" and as you can see, Colin's hand is about to scoop some water to splash.  Crazy boy.
