Us.

 

Garet got home late last night, and he is only home for a couple days before his next work conference... so we had a fun day out!  We went to the NC Transportation Museum!  Colin was in heaven!!  Trains, trains, trains!  We got to see tons of them!  And ride one!  It was so much fun!

It's raining outside.

 

Well it rained today... like thunderstorm rain... so we couldn't go out and play.  Colin read through the year books I do for us every year, and Addison got a [rare] chance to play with his cars.

We went out and about this morning, then this afternoon we took advantage of the SUN!  Addison was showing off her baseball skills =)

My mom got here today!  Garet is gone all week, so she came to hang out!  We had a great time!

We are having so much fun in the backyard.  We have races: Colin pushing his dump truck and Addison in the wagon (that I pull)... and Addison is finally getting over her dislike of the grass on her feet =)

So hard getting a picture of these two!  Colin loves to hug and hold and kiss Addison... and sometimes she likes it.  But sometimes, she tries to escape!

We had a fun day with Garet home today!  We went to Greensboro and ate at a neat restaurant called The Worx.  It was right next to a train track... so Colin was in heaven!  I think there were about 3 that went by... and Colin watched each of them =)

Easter eggs.

 

Colin and I dyed some Easter eggs today.  He is so funny... he wanted them out as soon as I put them in... then as soon as they were out, he wanted to eat them!  So, we had some lightly colored eggs.  And by the end of the day we were less 2 of them =)

The kids and I went to Charlotte for the night.  When we got there, we got to see my brother and his family!  The kids got to help my dad plant a couple veggies in the garden, and my mom got this shot of the cousins =)

Colin's class had and Easter party today!  It was so cute!  They got to search for eggs and then us parents got to see them playing on their playground!

Ahhh.

 

We are loving the weather!  Colin has started bringing a ton of his cars outside each day and racing them down his slide.  Addison and I have fun watching him.

Addison is all over the place!  She isn't walking by herself yet, but she is so close!  And she's going up the stairs and just figured out how to get on and off this truck that was Colin's.  She was so very proud of herself!

Rain, rain, go away.

 

We watched it rain alllll morning.  Colin spotted a big puddle in the yard and wanted to go splash in it.  So, once it stopped raining, we got him dressed in some "puddle jumping shoes" and off we went.  I figured, why not.  And he had a blast =)

Garet's sister Karen and her son Sam came for a visit!  We had so much fun with them!  Colin even gave out a bunch of kisses =)

Garet had to work today, so I took the kids to the park.  It was really windy this morning, but the sun was out and we had a great time!

First real bike.

 

For Christmas, my parents gave Colin a bike!  We hadn't given it to him yet because the weather just wasn't good for riding.... so he got it today!  He is still figuring out how to work the pedals but he is getting it!

Hey girl.

 

Addison fell last night and scraped her bottom lip... her first real hurt!  She hit it on our coffee table, and Colin yelled, "Super Colin!" and ran to get her ice.  Sweet boy.  She didn't cry long, but it left a little mark.  When I thanked Colin for being so helpful he said, "I'm a super hero."  To which I replied, "you will always be Addison's super hero."  Ah.  Love them.
