July 4

Happy 4th.

We celebrated July 4th today by going to a festival downtown.  We had a lot of fun!  It was super hot, but there was a big sprinkler from the water fountain to run through (which Colin LOVED).  Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!

Playing.

So... this house that we are renting came with a pool table in the basement... random... but we have made some good use out of it.  Well I should say Colin has made good use.  He LOVES to put the pool balls in the pockets.  Tonight Colin, Suzi and I went and played in the basement... I put Colin on the table.  He was so busy putting the pool balls in the pockets, and Suzi was under him busy chewing on a tennis ball.

(on a side note... please excuse the boxes.  The upstairs is pretty much unpacked, but the basement is where all the don't-know-what-to-do-with stuff has gone...)

Cleaning up.

While I was making lunch today I told Colin to go pick up his blocks.  Imagine my surprise when I peeked in at him and he was actually picking them up!

Home sweet home.

I drove to Charlotte today to pick up my sweet girl and bring her home.  My parents watched her for the week while we were with Garet's family (Thanks mom and dad!!!)  It was so good to see her again!

On our drive home (which ended up taking TEN hours!!) I climbed in the back with Colin for a bit so he could color.  This is him pointing to Daddy =)  Oh and he had gotten ahold of my brush, which explains the friz on the top of his head.

Basketball.

Colin had so much fun dunking the basketball!  He L.O.V.E.S. the water!  The smile he had the whole time was priceless!  We had so much fun!
