First baseball game.

We went to a Greensboro Grasshoppers game!  Colin (and the two of us!) had a great time!

We had a busy morning... traveling to High Point, the library, the store, lunch... and while we were at the library Colin showed Garet how to play games on the computers.

Helping with the trash bag.

Colin really loves to help... when we take the trash out, he likes to put the new trash bag in.  Today, he spent at least 20 minutes getting this just right.  At this point, he had the bag barely inside the can - which would explain why the bag pretty much reaches the floor =)

Colin is good at making baskets!  And I love that I caught his expression... mouth open =)

Running down the hall.

Colin had so much energy that he was running in and out of his room, up and down the hall, and he was yelling "two.... Two.... TWO!" then he would jump!  [I say "one, Two, THREE!" a lot, so that is his version =)]

Making dinner.

This afternoon, I made a cake for Garet (for tomorrow) and with each step, and each mix of the mixer, Colin wanted to see... "see?!  see?!  see?!  peas!"  So I thought maybe he could help with dinner.  For a side I made Pineapple Casserole (if you've never heard of it, it is soooo good!  I will have to give you the recipe)... there are only a few ingredients so I put them in plastic containers so he could dump and stir.  He did SO well!  It was fun to have a little helper =)

Chalk.

After Colin's nap, we went outside and played with chalk!  He had a good time, but only lasted a few minutes... he would rather play with his wagon.

Little fireman.

I put this hat on Colin while we were shopping - thinking he would just throw it off - he kept it on through the store, the walk to the car, in the car (with it backwards so he would fit in his seat!), going inside the house, he wanted it on while we were changing his diaper... but he settled with putting it back on once he was all clean, and then he ran around with it while he was playing with his cars.  =)

Cheese.

We were leaving the library (after storytime, which was really fun), we parked in the parking deck next to it, so we had to hike up a couple flights of stairs.  The stairwell had been painted - every single wall, and the ceiling, it was really neat.  Colin liked to go, "Ah!" and hear himself echo in there.  I pulled out my camera and said, "say cheese!" he turned around and this is what I got =)

Colin and I did some painting tonight!  We had so much fun!

We had some guys come cut down a tree... and you can tell, Colin was mesmerized by the truck and the guys that went up in the bucket.

Colin was taking our blanket, laying it out [perfectly, as you can see], then laying down and saying, "Night night!"  Then he would jump up and I would say "Good morning!"  He got a kick out of it =)

Hey horse.

We went out to a therapeutic horseback riding stable today!  (One of Garet's volunteers works there and told us to come out.)  We got see lots of horses!  And this one was so friendly (not to mention gorgeous!  Can you say Black Beauty?!)  He kept sticking his tongue out =)

Colin likes to try on shoes... lucky for him, I have small feet!  It was really funny last Sunday when he tried to walk in my heels =)

We took Colin to the gym so we could swim in the pool!  He loved it (of course!)

I was in the kitchen and it was really quiet in the living room... when I peeked in this is exactly what I saw.  Colin had been riding his bike, which he LOVES to do, and evidently, he likes it so much he didn't even get off to start playing with his cars on the coffee table.

Garet had just got home from the gym and was stretching on the floor.  Next thing I knew, Colin was next to him (almost under him!) doing the same stretch (sans shoe).  These two crack me up!

We walked to a nearby playground - and Colin could have cared less about the playground equipment... there were trucks everywhere!!

Happy 4th.

We celebrated July 4th today by going to a festival downtown.  We had a lot of fun!  It was super hot, but there was a big sprinkler from the water fountain to run through (which Colin LOVED).  Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!

Playing.

So... this house that we are renting came with a pool table in the basement... random... but we have made some good use out of it.  Well I should say Colin has made good use.  He LOVES to put the pool balls in the pockets.  Tonight Colin, Suzi and I went and played in the basement... I put Colin on the table.  He was so busy putting the pool balls in the pockets, and Suzi was under him busy chewing on a tennis ball.

(on a side note... please excuse the boxes.  The upstairs is pretty much unpacked, but the basement is where all the don't-know-what-to-do-with stuff has gone...)

Cleaning up.

While I was making lunch today I told Colin to go pick up his blocks.  Imagine my surprise when I peeked in at him and he was actually picking them up!

Home sweet home.

I drove to Charlotte today to pick up my sweet girl and bring her home.  My parents watched her for the week while we were with Garet's family (Thanks mom and dad!!!)  It was so good to see her again!

On our drive home (which ended up taking TEN hours!!) I climbed in the back with Colin for a bit so he could color.  This is him pointing to Daddy =)  Oh and he had gotten ahold of my brush, which explains the friz on the top of his head.

Colin had so much fun dunking the basketball!  He L.O.V.E.S. the water!  The smile he had the whole time was priceless!  We had so much fun!
