I love this.  Colin wants to be right next to Addison.  All. The. Time.  So, when I went to take her picture... he got in it as well.  But in every picture he kept squinting his eyes.  And she was just smiling and laughing so big.  Then he told me it was too bright.  And he did this.  And she stopped smiling.  Ha! 
I have to document also that today would have been one of our angel baby's 1st birthday.  It hit me harder than I thought it would.  But looking at these two blessings we have.  And having the most awesome husband (who brought me flowers today!)  And hearing about the birth of a friend's new baby.  It makes it easier to celebrate all the wonderful things that God has done!

So, I tried to do a craft... it did NOT turn out pretty.  I was trying to do this that I saw on Pinterest.  I wanted Colin to paint the canvas to put over our fireplace.  I think I tried to use too many colors... and Colin likes to just mix everything together.  It ended up looking like gray mud.  Not cute.  So I just told him to put his hands in it and just have fun.  So he did =)  That part ended up great.  The canvas?  Notsomuch.

This afternoon we all went outside... Garet, Colin, and I raked, then Colin got to jump in, kick, throw, bury himself and roll around in all the leaves.  It was awesome!

S'mores.

 

We all gathered around the firepit for s'mores tonight!  This was Colin's first time holding anything over the fire as well as his first s'more!  He loved it (of course!)  And surprisingly kept pretty clean =)

Papaw came to visit... and rode his dune buggy!  Which Colin loves!  Before bed tonight, he tried on these boots and was so proud to scoot around in them!

Colin lines up everything... but especially his cars!  He spends sooooo much time playing with them.  Most of the time they are lined up to go to the "grocery store".  Seems that might be the only store we go to....
Anyway, today was a first.  I was part of the line up.  I had to stand with my feet together, and facing forward.  Lucky for me, this line was moving fast!  =)

I brought this jumper thing out today.  Addison enjoyed it while I made dinner.  And Colin brought her some cars.  They were "watching Ah-ison"  =)  He loves her so much!

Today, Garet and I buckled down and almost finished painting our living room!  I still have to do the trim on the windows and paint the door... but we finished all the brick and paneling!  It took ALLLLL day!  We traded off: painting and watching the kids.  The fumes were so bad in the living room we didn't want the kids to smell it all day.  So tonight I was on Addison before bed and we got some good girl chat in =)

We had our friends over tonight with their kids.  A neighbor has a huge annual Halloween party, so we all went over there.  It was fun and there were tons of people, all dressed up!

I took the kids to a toddler Halloween party that my friend threw today.  Colin was a fireman (his choice) and Addison was this cute little horse =)  We had a great time!

I got the sprinkler going this afternoon and Colin rode his Jeep through it.  As you can see, he LOVED it!  He would come "park" next to me and say, "I'm home from work!"  I would ask him, "Did you have a good day?"  and he would say, "No... I hit a little bit of traffic."  hahaha
I love him so much!  He also kept telling me that he was driving in a thunder storm and that's why he was wet.

Today was another eventful day... Garet was doing yardwork and got stung by a bee.  He is very allergic, so we ended up spending a few hours at the ER.  Then we got home just in time to change and head to dinner!  Crazy.  Colin had fun playing with Abby that night though!

We had a busy day... we went to Winston Salem and had lunch.  Then after naps, we went to a neighborhood picnic!  It was a lot of fun!

The kids and I drove home today... and Colin had another birthday present waiting for him!  It is a Jeep!  He LOVES it!
