Lovin' Daddy's hat.

Colin had fun with Garet's hat tonight.  He kept putting it on backwards! 
And the reason he has no clothes on..... I was cooking and opened a cabinet to get rice out.  This cabinet is baby proofed, but it was only open for a few minutes while I got the rice.  I saw Colin get in there, but didn't think too much of it.  Then he said "Mommy.  Mommy.  Mommmmmy.  Mommmmmy."  When I looked, I saw that he was covered with cocoa powder!  It was all over him, the cabinet, the floor.....  Can't believe I didn't get a picture!  But here he is afterwards!  =)

Lake Waccamaw.

The weather has been awesome the past few days!  We loaded up and went biking around Lake Waccamaw.  Colin loved riding on the bike... he seemed more interested in watching me bike beside them than looking around though!  We had a picnic near this pier, it was so much fun!

Cleaning.

I have mentioned before that Colin loves to help me clean - he gets upset if I swiffer and then don't give him a turn.  Guess it's never too early to get them started on chores =)

Colin likes to hide behind things, then Garet or I will say, "Where's Colin?????"  And then he'll jump out, or in this case pull the blanket down!

Colin was in the zone eating some Cheerios, guess I interrupted him =)  ...as you can see he got them all over the floor!  Suzi was happy about that!

Suzi.

Garet is hanging out all weekend with his sisters, so Colin, Suzi and I made a [very] last minute trip to Charlotte!  Suzi was quick to make herself at home!

Little helper.

Colin loves to help me around the house.  He helps me dust, swiffer, vacuum, and he likes to watch me cook.  He tried to put on his oven mitt and it went up to his shoulder!  =)

Colin loves to play in the tunnel we bought him for Christmas - and apparently Suzi is pretty interested too!  I'm pretty sure it wasn't made for a 95 pound dog though!  Sorry sweet girl =)

Colin in playgroup.

There is a playgroup here that we have gone to about 6 months ago, but now that Colin is so mobile we decided to try again... he LOVED it! The place where we met was so kid friendly! I could just let Colin go (it was a big room with books, games, toys, bean bags, etc). He was so busy running around - it was great!

Garet and Colin were watching football on the couch while I was making dinner.  My heart is so full of love when I see these two together!  And look at how Colin is looking at his daddy!  =)

Visiting.

We had an eventful day! We drove to Southport to see Garet's aunt, then we went to see his Grandma Beane (Colin's great grandmother!), then we stopped by my aunts beach house and saw my mom, my two aunts and their cousin!  And we still had time to watch 2 football games last night!

I had such a fun day with Colin today!  We didn't go anywhere - just did some cleaning, baking, and playing!  I love this kid so much!

Colin LOVES to dance! When he hears music his arms start going... then he starts bouncing... and (like in this picture) sometimes he just moves all over!

Colin likes to test his boundaries.  And what do I do... get the camera.  I'm going to have to work on that!  He likes to stand on things... the step stool, a toy, his bike, the coffee table...

Colin likes to grab his books then come sit on our laps, or when we aren't around.... he goes to sit on Suzi.  Poor sweet Suzi... sometimes (like today) she just sits there, other times she is up and out of the room before Colin can get situated!

I mentioned that we went hiking yesterday... well we didn't get the pack put away before Colin discovered it this morning!  He wanted to get back in!  =)  What a silly boy!

Running.

We went on a hike today, it was soooo pretty outside!  All of us went - Garet, Colin, Suzi and me, and we had a fun picnic!  When we were finished, we let Colin run through this field on the way back to the car.

Whenever we get out Suzi's "purple" we forget she is over 6 years old... she becomes a playful puppy again.  And I love it.

Nope, we weren't going outside... just downstairs. 
I kept Colin bundled when we were downstairs, since the heat was out and it was COLD.... but by afternoon today - we have heat again!  Woohoo!

Loving the robe.

Our heat isn't working downstairs... so this morning I bundled Colin in this robe when he came down for breakfast! (thanks to whichever sister handed that down to us!)  At least his room upstairs is nice and toasty!

2012

So I made it!  A whole year of pictures!
I wanted to do something with all my pictures - and a book would have been just too expensive!  (I mean really... 365 pages?!)  So, I decided to make a calendar.  I made a college of all the pictures I took durning the month and put them on that month of the calendar for the new year.  That way I can see a year ago what we/Colin looked like last year at the same time!  Here is January:

I will try to remember to post each month from last year at the beginning of each month of this year.

So I am going to atttempt to do "A Beane A Day" this year too.  I really like that it makes me take a picture everyday... even if it is just of us doing laundry =)  Hey that's life right?!  I love that it gives me all these pics to look back on, because life just happens so fast!

Grandparents.

We had a blast with my parents!  We headed home, but not before I got a couple pictures of Colin with his Grandmama and Papaw!  Thanks for a great time mom and dad!!!!!!

Mom and I took Colin to the park - and he had a blast!  He really likes just running around and playing in the mulch!  It has been so pretty outside, it is nice to get out and play!
